Monday 22nd July 2024.

Yesterday saw the latest Club match took place at Pencoyd Pool. Twelve members booked in for this match which was fished two days after the two hottest days of the year so far.The anglers were met with a overcast day with some rain but the day brightened later with some warm summer sunshine.

Dave Avery came out top in this match with 25lb 14oz of carp from a peg towards the far end of the pool. Runner up for the second time in a row was Mick  Mclaughlin who weighed in 13lb 2oz of carp from a peg near the middle of the match length. Third place went to Graham Matthews who finished with a weight of 12lb 1oz from a peg near the dam end. Fourth place went to Mick Baker who weighed in 9lb exactly.

Well done to all who took part. The next match will be on Saturday 3rd August. Amy Club member interested in fishing this match should add their name to the list in Woody’s tackle shop.
