The H&DAA Bailiff team is responsible for policing the waters over which we have control.
Their duties include patrolling the banks of our waters to check for illegal fishing, checking memberships and day tickets, checking rigs, maintaining pegs and reporting any unsocial behaviour or pollution incidents to either the General Purposes Committee (GPC) or to the relevant authorities. They are active at various times of the day and night and liaise closely with one another to ensure that Association rules are upheld.
The main bailiff team consists of Lee Pritchard-Woollett, Pete Pembridge and Dave Tyler, with each bailiff having responsibility for policing particular sections of the river. They are ably assisted by a backup team consisting of John McLellan, Graham Mathews, Bryan Owen, and Dave Symonds along with the Chairman Chris James and other members of the GPC.
As well as our bailiffing teams, please remember that all adult members can challenge any other anglers fishing our waters and ask to see their membership ID card or day ticket. They must be able to show their own I D card before doing so.
If you find anyone or anything suspicious whilst on the bank please contact one of the bailiffing team on the numbers below.
