Sunday 7th July 2024.

Yesterday the latest Club match took place at Pencoyd Pool. Eleven anglers turned up to fish and were met with a wet and windy day with the weather improving to sunshine as the day progressed. Temperatures were still on the cool side for early July but afternoon sunshine would raise the water temperature.

Match organiser Pete Pembridge came out on top with a winning weight of 33lb of carp, roach and rudd from a peg towards the top end of the fishery. Runner up was Mike Mclaughlin who caught 32lb 9oz of carp from a peg towards the middle of the pool, with Dave Brymer finishing third with 12lb 2oz and Chris Mayne fourth with 11lb. Congratulations to all the framers.
