Sunday 5th March 2023.

Today saw the last match of the season on the River Wye at Bartonsham. On a low, cold and clear river 15 Club members took part with chub and barbel likely to be the target species. Fishing a peg towards the bottom end of Bartonsham winner Geoff Brierley took an all chub catch to the scales to register 36lb exactly. Runner up was Paul Evans who caught 2 barbel and some chub to weigh in 13lb 12oz from a peg towards the other end of the match length.. Third was Phil Amos with 11lb 10oz and fourth was Lee Pritchard who weighed in 11lb 9oz from the next peg upstream from the winner.
