Wednesday 16th April 2025.

The first Pencoyd match of 2025 took place  on the Sunday before last with 9 anglers taking part. The weather was dry and bright with a cold wind making conditions a challenge for those taking part. The match fished hard with relatively few fish caught with the water not really having warmed up yet. The winner was Graham Matthews who weighed in 2 carp for 18lb 4oz from a peg near the top end of the pool where the shallower water had warmed up a little more. Runner up was Dave Tyler who weighed in 3 carp and an F1 for 10lb 11oz. again near the shallower end of the pool. Third with 3lb 8oz was Ray Downey, again pegged near the top end of the pool.
