Last Sunday the latest match at Pencoyd Pool took place, with 5 anglers turning up to fish. They were greeted with a cool cloudy day with a breeze with a top temperature of 16C expected. With the carp spawning over for the time being it was hoped the fish would feed, but with cool temperatures there was some uncertainty.

The winner was Graham Matthews with a carp catch of 38lb 0oz. Runner up was match organiser Pete Pembridge with a weight of 31lb 0oz of carp, bream and ide. He was closely followed by Dave Tyler in third place with 30lb 4oz. Well done to all who took part.

The next match at Pencoyd will be on Saturday 6th July. Any Association member wishing to fish should put their name on the list in Woody’s tackle shop or contact Pete Pembridge.
