Saturday saw the latest in the Pencoyd series of matches take place. Nine anglers took part on a bright but cool day with a cold wind taking the edge off temperatures. Carp again featured prominently in most catches, with winner Chris Mayne leading the way with a weight of 43lb 9oz. Runner up was Mick Baker  with 40lb 13oz, with Pete Pembridge coming third with 31lb 2oz and Tony Doyle fourth with 28lb 5oz. Well done to all the competitors.

The next match will be this coming Sunday 9th June. Anyone wishing to fish should put there name on the list in Woody’s tackle shop close of business on Thursday or contact Pete Pembridge.
