Sunday 6th August 2023.

The latest in the series of matches at Pencoyd Pool took place today with 9 anglers taking part. After a wet and windy day yesterday, the anglers were faced with with a better day with sunshine and the odd short sharp shower. Carp featured in the majority of catches with winner Chris Mayne managing to catch 47lb -10oz from a peg midway along the pool. Runner up Dave Tyler finished  with 42lb – 8oz of carp from a page near the far end ahead of third placed John Donaghey who weighed in with 38lb- 8oz from a middle bank peg. Pete Pembridge again managed to finish in fourth place weighing in 22lb – 8oz. There were 2 dry nets.
