The penultimate match of the Pencoyd series of matches was fished last weekend with 8 members turning up for the draw.There was a fresher feel to the day following some heavy showers the previous day and a blustery wind. Temperatures were around 17C at the start of the match with showers expected. With the low pressure now in charge some good catches were expected with carp again expected to feed well.

Regular winner Mick Mclaughlin was pegged near the middle of the match length and put together an all carp net to win yet again with 72lb 6oz. Runner up was Dave Tyler who weighed in a net of carp for 50lb 8oz from a peg towards the dam end of the pool. Third was Mick Baker with 34lb 4oz of carp and roach from a peg near the far end of the pool, with Pete Pembridge finishing 4th with 32lb 14oz of carp on the next peg. Well done to all who took part.

The final match of this series will take place on Sunday 7th September and as usual a list is up in Woody’s tackle shop for any member who wants to fish.
