Results – Saturday 2nd May 2026.

Ten anglers turned up for the draw for this match. A dry bright morning  with increasing amounts of cloud coupled with showers and longer spells of persistant rain was on the forecast with a maximum temperature of 19C expected. The match turned out to be  a struggle with only 5 anglers weighing in. Top weight was 10lb 2oz consisting of 1 carp and 1 bream going to Julian Shelby-James. Runner up was Dave Brymer  who weighed in 2 carp for a total weight of 10lb. Third was our Acting Chairman Graham Matthews who weighed in 6lb 14oz. On the whole a disappointing match, hopefully the next one on May 16th will fish better.

Saturday 16th May 2026.

With the disappointing results from the last match on their mind, the 10 anglers who turned up for this one were unsure of how the pool would fish. With cooler conditions and a bright start, with a high of 14C forecast  together with a breeze and rain later in the afternoon hopes were not high. In the end the match did fish slightly better than the previous one with 6 anglers weighing in. Top weight went to Acting Chairman, Graham Matthews  who weighed in 3 carp for 19lb 9oz. Second was Match Organiser Pete Pembridge who caught 1 carp and 1 chub for a total of 16lb 6oz. Third with 2 carp was Dave Brymer who weighed in 11lb 2oz.
