Pencoyd Match Result – Sunday 1st September 2024.
Wednesday 4th September 2024.
Last Sunday saw the final match of the summer series take place at Pencoyd Pool. A total of seven anglers turned up for this one and were greeted to a dry autumnal day with temperatures around 16C. First past the post was match organiser Pete Pembridge who managed to catch one bream and several carp from a peg near the top end of the pool to weigh in 31lb 4oz. Runner up, and less than a pound behind, was Pencoyd bailiff Graham Matthews who was drawn close to the end of the “island”. He weighed in 30lb 8oz. Third place went to Mike Mclaughlin who weighed in 22lb 1oz , two pegs away from Graham.
Well done to all who took part and thanks to Pete Pembridge for organising the series. With Autumn upon us the attention now turns to the river matches starting this coming Sunday (8th September) with the Mick Pritchard Memorial match.
