Saturday 6th June

Eight anglers turned up at the draw at 2pm to fish this match with fishing  from 3.30pm to 8.30pm. With recent results disappointing compared to last year, the match was moved to a later time to see if this made any difference to the weights caught. With predicted temperatures reaching a maximum of 17C with light rain and showers and a breeze it was not the best weather for fishing. As it turned out the pool did not fish particularly well with winner Mike McLaughlin weighing in 4 carp for a top weight of 21lb 11oz  from a peg near the middle of the pool. Runner up was match organiser Pete Pembridge who caught 2 carp and several rudd to finish with a weight of 12lb 10oz from a peg towards the dam end.. Third was Martynas Valentonis with a weight of 10lb 8oz consisiting of 1 carp and an F1. All in all a bit of a disappointing match with the later draw not making much difference to the weights caught.  Hopefully the next match  will be better!

Sunday 14th June
