The latest match in the series took place last weekend with the 10 anglers fishing hoping that the results would show an improvement on the previous two matches. With a dry warm day forecast things looked promising. As it turned out the early enthusiasm was muted  with Dave Brymer requiring it 16lb 10oz to take top spot from a peg near the far end of the pool. Runner up was our new Acting Chairman Graham Matthews who caught 15lb 9oz from a peg near the dam end. Third was Julian Shelby-James who was pegged near to the old island. He weighed in 15lb 4oz. Fourth was bailiff Daye Tyler who caught 12lb from a peg midway along the right bank. All in all a bit of a disappointment with the weights but with recent silverfish spawning and maybe some of the carp as well, maybe the carp prefered a diet of fish eggs and fry.

The next match will be an afternoon/evening match taking place on Saturday 6th June, with the draw at 2pm. This match is already fully booked with the following match taking place on Sunday 14th June. As usual there will be a list up in Wood’s tackle shop.
