The second match of the Spring/Siummer series  of matches took place recently on a cold windy day with outbreaks of heavy showers forecast throughout the day. It was likely to be a challenging day for the 8 anglers who turned up for the draw with carp again likely to be the dominant species.

The winner was bailiff Dave Tyler who caught 2 carp and 2 chub for a total weight of 20lb 10oz on a Method feeder from a peg close to the old island. Runner up was Julian Shelby-James who caught carp on the Method feeder from the far end peg to weigh in 12lb 10oz. Third was match organiser Pete Pembridge who also fished the Method feeder to snare a couple of F1’s and a bream  to weigh in 7lb 12oz from a peg near to the old island..All in all a tough day with the conditions not helping..
