Pencoyd Match Results – Saturday 19th July 2025.

Tuesday 22nd July 2025.

The latest in the series of matches at Pencoyd Pool took place on Saturday with five anglers turning up for the draw. Following some overnight rain on Friday the day started cloudy and overcast with the prospect of brighter weather later in the day. Temperatures were in the low 20s making it a more pleasant day for fishing.Top weight on the day went to the ever consistant Mike Mclaughlin who drew a peg near the middle of the right hand bank and put together a match winning total of 91lb 10oz. His catch of carp is a new match record  for the fishery and  he has now won the last 5 matches at the pool. Runner up was Ray Downey who also broke the previous match record on the pool to record a carp weight of 81lb 9oz. Third was match organiser Pete Pembridge who was pegged on the dam wall  His weight of 49lb included a couple of bream amongst the carp.

All in all some great weights and a new fishery record. The next match will be on Sunday 3rd August and as usual there is a list in Woody’s tackle shop should you wish to enter. Well done to all who took part.
